Never make treatment decisions based on an error message. If you have any concerns, please call

The meter won't turn on or the display is blank.
Blood sugar may be lower than the measuring range of the system or the test strip has
been bent. See Chapter 6, "Specifications." We recommend retesting your blood sugar
according to Chapter 3, "Testing Your Blood Sugar." Verify results by running a control test.

Chapter 5: Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Possible cause
Battery is dead.
Temperature is too cold.
Display is damaged.
Meter is defective.
Solution
Insert a new battery.
Move somewhere warmer and repeat test.
