Wipe front grille with a clean cloth
lightly dampened with mild liquid
dishwashing detergent.Washcabtiet
with mild soap or detergentand
lukewarmwater.

These coils on the weather side
of the unit should be checked
periodically and cleaned if clogged
with dirt or soot horn the atmosphere.
If extremely soiled, they may need
to be steam cleaned, a service
availablethrough your General
Electric service outlet.
Air
Filter
The air filter behind the inletgrille
shouldbe washedat least every 30
daysor as oftenas it needscleaning.
To remove the filter, grasp the tab
on the filter and pull to the right.
Vacuumthe filter on the dusty side
to removetightdust. Wmh the filter,
cleanersideup, undergentlyflowing
water to wash out accumulated dust
and lint. If the fiiter is very dirty,
use a mild household detergentin
the wash water. Let the filter dry
thoroughly before replacing it.
When replacing the filter, be sure
the word FRONT is facing you as
you slide the filter back into place.
The model and serial numbersare
on a labelbehind the front grille on
the left-l~and sideof the air discharge
grille.
To
remove
the
grille:
1.
Remov~the air filter.
2. Remove and save the screw that
holds the grille to the chassis.

3. Press the side of the cabinet
firdy and, at the same time, pu~l
the corne~of the grille forward to
unhook it from clips at bottom.
4. Slide the grille upward to free
the two tabs at the top of the grille
from slots in the top of the cabinet.
To replace the griEBe,
hook
top
of
grille onto top of cabinet, push
botiom of grille in until it snaps
into place, and replace the screw
removed in Step 2 above.
