Important
Before turning your system unit's power on,
review the four events that happen during a
Power-On Self Test (POST). Make a note of
any event that is different from the ones listed.
These notes are used to find problems in your
system unit.
Event 1
Keyboard status lights blink
on and off.
Event 3
The keyboard status lights
blink on and off then one
short beep is heard when POST
is complete.
Note: One long beep and
two short beeps indicate a
system unit failure. Go to
"Error Examples" later in
this section.
Event 2
Memory size Test appears in
upper-left corner of screen. If
memory size is wrong, go to
"Error Examples" later in this
section.
