Handle Assembly (cont’d) The wires, RED and GREEN go through the handle and manifold for the micro switch. Then the BLACK and WHITE wires go out through the trigger housing until the trigger is connected. At this point you can push the trigger into the trigger housing hole in the handle.
Page 7
Handle Assembly (cont’d) With the handle attached to the manifold put a small amount of lubriplate grease around the holes in the top of the manifold where the barrel connectors go. Then put some lubriplate grease on the assembled barrel connectors ( o-rings and back- up rings) and push carefully into the holes in the manifold.
Page 8
Handle Assembly (cont’d) When sliding the hydraulic cylinder onto the barrel connectors, be careful when not to pinch or tear the o-rings or back up rings. Attach the hydraulic cylinder to the handle using a # 10-32x3/8” BHCS. Put the limit switch rod into the tool before the puller gets screwed into the end cap.

BTT20SF Cutter Nose Assembly (cont’d) The jam nut (left hand thread) is placed onto the puller and screwed completely down onto the puller, almost coming off the other end of the puller. Place the puller into the end cap inside the cylinder and screw the puller until it bottoms out.
Page 24
BTT20SF Cutter Nose Assembly (cont’d) Close the puller using a pair of special vise grips and slide the spring onto the puller. Then remove the vise grips. The sleeve goes on next, but you have to start a dowel pin (3/.16”X 5/16”Long) into the sleeve.
Page 25
BTT20SF Cutter Nose Assembly (cont’d) Now compress the puller again using the vise grips and slide the sleeve onto the puller. This is how the sleeve should look once on the puller. Now using a arbor press, push the dowel pin into the sleeve...

Section #6 Setting the limit switch First check to see what your limit switch is set at, the specification for the limit switch for the cutter tool and installation tool is .390”-.400”. If the switch needs to be adjusted loosen the lock down screw. The longer limit switch rod is for the cutter tool which is 6.8”...

Setting the Limit Switch (cont’d) The limit switch test box, you can check the trigger switch and the limit switch to make sure they are adjusted and working properly. Showing the test box connected to the tool by means of the lemo connectors.
Page 38
Setting the limit switch (cont’d) Once the switch has been adjusted within the specification of .390” - .400” snug the lock down screw down. Then check your reading once again to ensure the setting is still within the specification. If so, tighten down the lock screw for the final time.
